History: Metropolitan Stadium was home to the Minnesota Twins from 1956-1981. The park was located on the current site of the Mall of America. The photos below are inside the mall in the Nickelodeon Universe kid's amusement park area. The red stadium chair mounted high on the wall is the point where Harmon Killebrew's 520 ft. homerun landed on June 3, 1967. This was not only the longest homerun Killebrew ever hit but also the longest at Metropolitan Stadium.
