Historic Engel Stadium was home to the Chattanooga Lookouts and Chattanooga Choo Choos. It was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 2009. Notable players to have played on this field include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Satchel Paige, Harmon Killebrew, Ferguson Jenkins and Rogers Hornsby. In 2012, Engel Stadium was used as the set for the movie "42". The ballpark was used for Brooklyn's Ebbets Field. Some changes were made to the ballpark for the shooting of the film, but the ballpark was returned back to its historically accurate state.
