Former Names of Ballpark: None

Parking:

  • Parking is $2 and the general parking lot is in the outfield.

Seating/Stadium Design:

  • Fans enter the ballpark in the outfield. I am not usually a fan of outfield entrances because I feel like you miss out on seeing the "front" of the ballpark, especially when you want to take photos.
  • Seats are really far from the field. There is so much foul territory, it is very hard to feel connected to the game. This was probably my biggest issue with the ballpark.
  • Stadium feels cheap. Not much structure and missing conveniences like cup holders.
  • Seating bowl is made up of both blue and green seats
  • Video board is hard to see. Needs upgrading.
  • Very large lawn section in the outfield
  • No permanent team store, just a trailer
  • Free kids area

Food:

  • Food was pricey. Cheapest hot dog was $4. No kids dog option.
  • Rotating screens with menus are annoying
  • A few stands were closed during my visit. That's one of my biggest pet peeves. It just sends a bad message to the fans.

Atmosphere/Character:

I was excited to see this ballpark because I thought the team did a great job with their logo so I figured the ballpark would be very enjoyable. I was very disappointed. It is a very hard place to feel part of the game. The seats are so far from the action, I just couldn't get into the game. I really wanted to like this ballpark but it was a big let down. One of the few things I did like were the corn stalks in the outfield (with the players having to walk through them when exiting the clubhouse) and the corn facts throughout the ballpark. I also liked the corn stalks on the steps on the way into the ballpark. This park could have had major potential if fans were closer to the game and it didn't feel so temporary and cheap. I also didn't really understand the "Chase the Zebra" contest in the middle of one of the innings. Not sure what a zebra had to do with corn. I just overall felt very disconnected here and entering from the outfield doesn't help that feeling.

Looks like a nice area for flowers or something.....but nothing there??
