Seating/Stadium Design:

  • Berm areas in left field and centerfield. Although, I felt there was a little bit of a design flaw here. In order to get from the main concourse out to the berm, you have to go down a flight of stairs, and then walk right through a kids basketball court (no idea how that fits into baseball).
  • Concession Stands are open to the field.
  • Redbird Roost (all-you-can-eat) section.
  • dark green seats with cupholders
  • 2 Berm areas
  • The building beyond the right field wall is an indoor training facility which contains batting cages.
  • There are 28 luxury boxes

Atmosphere/Character:

Hammons Field is a beautiful park and a nice place to watch a game. It does not have a unique backdrop, so I am afraid this park will become forgettable over time. It looks too similar to other minor league parks for it to really stick out in my mind. For the most part, the fans at Hammons Field are focused on baseball and are loyal, dedicated fans.
