New Hampshire 7
After going to a game at Pawtucket the day before, I headed up to Worcester to catch a game before heading home for the weekend. I had planned on buying a general admission (grand stand) seat, but as the sign says, they were sold out. I ended up having to buy a box seat for $4 more.
The first thing I noticed upon entering the park that there was not an ounce of shade anywhere. Not good, considering, I forgot my sunblock. It was mostly sunny and in the mid to upper 70's. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, which resulted in some lovely tan (actually, I should say burn) lines.
The second thing that caught my eye was how terrible the field looked around homeplate.
I caught a glimpse of the Nashua players taking batting practice in the high-tech batting cage.
Today was "Twister's" birthday (the mascot for Worcester). He invited all of his mascot friends to the game and they played an exciting game of musical chairs, in which Twister won. Of course he had to win, it was his birthday.
