Since the stadium is located in a downtown area, there are plenty of lots to park in. Prices will vary, just hunt around for the cheapest.
Seating/Stadium Design:
The gates into the park are garnished with bats and gloves.
Various statues in and around the park
"The Roost"- outfield seats attached to an old building which was incorporated into the park. In 2008, ESPN.com voted these seats #1 in the Top Ten Best Minor League Seats. "The Roost" was designed to be reminiscent of Wrigley Field, Camden Yards, and Tiger Stadium.
Picnic area in outfield concourse
The kids play area is located behind the batter's eye in centerfield....hidden, where it should be.
Very large gift shop with a large selection...one of the largest I have seen. The gift shop is also housed in an existing building that was incorporated into the park.
There is a lower level and club level. The lower level seating bowl could be steeper to improve sightlines.
Atmosphere/Character:
Usually downtown parks have a lot of character and Fifth Third Field is no exception.
I am not usually a fan of mascot's, but the Mud Hen's mascot, Muddy is pretty cool. He is a good dancer and is a good entertainer.
Free programs ("The Muddy Times")
Recognition of Team's History and/or Major League Affiliate:
There is a retired number (1) in the park
There wasn't as much history as I would have expected for a franchise that has a successful past.
