Lackawanna County Stadium

Capacity: 10,982
Dimensions: Left 330 ft. Centerfield 408 ft. Right 330 ft.
Stadium Opened: 1989
Food:
Fairly short lines at the concession stands. Food included hot dogs, pretzels, funnel cake, etc. The cost of food was very economical.
Parking:
Free Parking, large lot.
Atmosphere:
The stadium is nestled in the Montage Mountain Ski resort area. Therefore, the centerfield view out of the stadium is very scenic. The stadium has more of a “major league” feel to it. The stadium felt like a miniature version of the Vet. As far as sound effects, the stadium played the usual baseball type music.
The stadium is very clean and fairly new. Ushers and stadium staff are easily accessible. The crowd was mild and most fans seemed very loyal to their Red Barons
Restrooms:
- Several restrooms are located throughout the stadium on each level
Seating:
- Sections go in numerical order, as opposed to odd/even sides
- Long ramps leading to levels
- Sections were clearly marked
- Not a bad seat in the house
Interesting/Unique Features:
- As you walk up the ramps leading to the upper levels, all the flags of the minor league baseball teams are displayed.
- The field dimensions are exactly the same as Veterans Stadium, home of their major league affiliate at the time I visited.
- The starting lineup is posted in the concourse are behind homeplate
- Stadium Club restaurant overlooks the field.
